さて、今日は久しぶりに

”雨に日に思い出す曲”のブログを

作っていこうと思います。

今日の一曲は、the Notorious B.I.G.の

1994年リリース、Big Poppaになります。

あまりこのブログで、

ヒップホップをご紹介することは

なかったのですが、

思い出してみると、

ヒップホップにも、雨に日に合うものがあると

目覚めてしまいました。

ここのところ、古着界でも

８０－９０年代のアイテムが流行る中、

ビギーや２パックなどのTシャツで、その存在を

知っている人々も多いと思います。

90年代初期は、ヒップホップのビッグネームが

どんどん排出された時代でもありました

今日ご紹介の、ノートリアスB.I.G.、そして２パック、

パフダディ、アイスキューブ、ドクター・ドレ、

NAS、Jay-Z、フォクシー・ブラウン、などなど。

しかし残念なことに、96年に銃撃され死亡した

2パック同様、ビギーもパーティーの帰りに

銃撃を受け、97年3月に死亡しました

寂しげなリズムに、

B.I.G.のラップが見事に調和しています。

こんな雨の日に、ややも寂しげに歩く姿に

ピッタリなヒップホップ

僕ら世代の方々からすれば、

懐かしいメロディ

今、80－90年代を着る

若い世代からすれば、新鮮でありつつ

当時のヒップホップの渋さを感じて

頂けるのではないでしょうか
